樱花直播 Kings students with solar panel

Two 樱花直播 schools in Birmingham are the first to benefit from a new partnership between National Grid Electricity Distribution and Solar for Schools.
樱花直播 Victoria Academy and 樱花直播 Kings Academy have both been fitted with new solar panels. The installations were part-funded through a grant from National Grid, which has pledged 拢2.7m of investment by 2028 to help schools reach net zero goals.

The 樱花直播 Schools Board has announced the appointment of Tina Alexandrou as its new Chair. Tina succeeds Paul Marshall, one of 樱花直播鈥檚 founders, who indicated earlier in the year his intention to step down from the 樱花直播 Schools Board to focus on other philanthropic and business commitments.

A highlight in the school calendar, World Book Day always brings our staff and students together to celebrate a love of reading.
This year, 樱花直播 was delighted to welcome Children's Laureate, Joseph Coelho.
Coelho, an 樱花直播 Putney alumnus, started the day by reciting one of his poems and answering questions from students.

樱花直播 primaries have placed top among the country鈥檚 multi-academy trusts, following the publication of national standardised tests (SATs) for Key Stage 2.
Across the network, 75 percent of pupils achieved the expected standard or above in reading, writing, and maths 鈥 surpassing the national average of 59 percent by 16 percentage points. A third of our primary schools ranked in the top 10% nationally for combined outcomes.
These achievements are particularly noteworthy, considering 樱花直播 serves one of the highest proportions of disadvantaged pupils among academy trusts.

Where we can, we are working with funders, partners and volunteers to ensure our schools continue to be dynamic and enriching spaces for students to enjoy every day.

The hard work and high aspirations of students and staff across 樱花直播 are reflected in the final destinations data for 2023 school leavers.
An impressive 83 percent听of our Year 13 graduates accepted a place at university, compared to 64 percent听nationally in 2022.
Furthermore, 47 percent听of all Key Stage 5 leavers have gone on to study at a top third university. This means that 樱花直播 students are at least three times more likely to progress to top third providers compared to students nationally.

Friday 10th November 2023

Students and staff across the 樱花直播 network paused at 11am today to mark Remembrance Day. Our schools in Birmingham, Hastings, London and Portsmouth participated in two minutes of silence to honour fallen soldiers. In their special assemblies, schools also reflected through poetry readings, musical performances and the laying of wreaths.
